Secaucus, NJ, March 31, 2003 – Samsung’s new generation SVR series Digital Video Recorders can be configured for a maximum recording capacity of over 5 terabytes and are designed to replace the combination of an analog time-lapse VCR and Multiplexer.

The verstile SVR-1620 provides 16 Channels of digital recording. The SVR-900 offers 9 Channels. Both offer recording speeds of 60 frames per second, digital watermarking, have built-in networking capabilities (Live Monitoring, Playback, Control), PTZ control, M-JPEG video compression, selectable refresh rate, and full triplex operation.
Samsung’s SVR Series of DVRs are extraordinarily reliable standalone units that do not require the use of a PC. Offering flexibility not found in other DVR units, they accept non-proprietary hard drives, enabling users to purchase or recycle off-the-shelf drives.
