    Samsung’s New 16 Channel Digital Video Recorder Stands Alone
     
   
Secaucus NJ, August 13, 2001 – Samsung has announced the introduction of the SVR-1600, its latest digital video recorder. The recorder comes with 40 GB of hard drive storage, with up to 80 GB optional. If you need more, there’s output capability for additional external VCR and hard drive storage. A DVD option is coming soon.

At one frame per second (1 channel) the SVR-1600 will record 15 days on the 40 GB hard drive, and double that with the 80 GB hard drive. Searching is quick and easy through all this data, and for detailed inspection of an image, a freeze function is included.

A Samsung standard, the recorder is NTSC and PAL compatible.

Other highlights include:

Recording Modes: Continuous, event, manual and schedule modes.

Multiplexer: Built in triplex multiplexer.

5 Video Resolutions: Fine, high, medium, low, user-defined.

Approvals: FCC, CE, CUL.
